Lime Margarita Kale Chips

Lime Margarita Kale Chips - or if you prefer kale chips without the tequila?
Yields1 Serving
Prep Time5 minsCook Time15 minsTotal Time20 mins
1 Bunch of Kale (Washed and Ripped Up)The size of the ripped leaves depends on your preference.
1 tbsp Avocado Oil (Olive Oil also works)
 ½ A Lime
½ tsp Sea Salt (or to taste)Coarse, pre-ground, whatever

I have a confession. This title is BS, these taste nothing like margaritas. I just call them that because of the lime and salt — which maybe makes them tequila shot kale chips?  That's not to say they aren't good but if you were expecting to be whipped away to a beach in Mexico I have bad news.

1

Preheat oven to 375° (Fahrenheit).

2

Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and space out the ripped kale leaves in one layer.

3

Drizzle the oil over the kale leaves. I don't always measure this so feel free to eyeball. Also if you want to rub the oil in with your hands go ahead but if you are in a hurry or don't want to cover your hands in oil then don't. You do you boo.

4

Slice the lime into sections so that its easier to squeeze. Squeeze the lime juice all over the leaves. Again rub it in or don't, it's up to you.

5

Sprinkle salt over the kale leaves. Again I don't measure this because I usually just grind the salt over top. More or less depending on how salty I'm feeling.

6

Place in the oven for 10-15 minutes. Always check at 10 minutes. The longer they are in the oven the crispier they will get (obviously). Best served right out of the oven but don't burn your mouth.
